Summary

MED Associates, a global leader in hardware and software development for the neuroscience research industry, is seeking a Full Time ERP Database Administer for our Infor SyteLine ERP.  The ideal candidate will have extensive ERP experience, preferably with SyteLine, and be prepared to fully maintain the integrity of our ERP.  This includes troubleshooting, resolving complex system issues, monitoring performance metrics, keeping us up to date with appropriate software updates, and training employees in ERP use, among other things.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ERP end users
  • Be the subject matter expert for system functionality and proper system use
  • Train employees in ERP use
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair system software
  • Monitor system performance to ensure optimization and ensure system security
  • Review internal proposals for system changes or customizations; work with existing external resources to negotiate such work where appropriate
  • Create user accounts and provide access and restrictions as appropriate
  • Execute appropriate reports based on business requirements
  • Write IT documentation and procedures
  • Work well in a small team environment
  • Prioritize both short and long term project needs to ensure business needs are met
  • Professionally communicate information when appropriate to various internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in a related field
  • In depth knowledge of database and ERP systems
  • General knowledge of inventory, costing, and accounting principles, particularly in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to research and solve issues independently
  • Knowledge of SQL database systems a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

 

 

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

This is an indoor job requiring extensive use of a computer.   While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an air conditioned facility.  The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.  The employee will be required to wear Safety glasses and utilize appropriate PPE as needed.
