Rota-Rod

• Each testing lane’s fall area is enclosed, preventing animals who have fallen from the rod from escaping.
• Each lane has an infrared photobeam fall detection beam in the front, aimed at the back of the lane, just above the waste collection pan for independent animal measurement.
• The redesigned textured rod allows animals to have better traction on the rotating rod without being able to grip onto it, and is more comfortable than traditional rod surfaces.
• Completely encased in the motor housing, our direct drive motor delivers the most quiet operation ever offered by Med Associates. Noise production has been reduced from our previous model by 30% (from 64 to 48 dB @ 40 RPM*). *The noise produced remains constant up to the top speed of 100 RPM.
• A digital timer for a clear readout of the test time.
• With manual or USB control options, speeds can be fixed or accelerated in both forward and reverse as desired through the on-board controls or through the included Rota-Rod Treadmill Control Software.
• Easy to clean design with a removable waste pan.

• Operate up to four Rota-Rods simultaneously on a single computer.
• Capable of changing to any speed in one (1) second, however, the use of ramp profiles are recommended.

Standalone Mode

• Operate in standalone mode when the USB cable is not attached to the device.
• Record data from the digital counters
• Limited speed capability, up to 40 RPM in both forward and reverse

USB Control Mode

• Use the Rota-Rod 2 software (SOF-571) with the ENV-571 and ENV-574 series of Rota-Rods.
• USB control mode enables features such as:
• Expanded speed capability, up to 100 RPM in both forward and reverse
  Data collection is automatically recorded via the software
